Parent Aid Program: Mentoring is structured to help parents who lack the support they need to take care of their families. OMNI’s Parent Aid Program (PAP) matches a dedicated volunteer with a parent facing personal or family difficulties. The program places parents in a one-to-one relationship with adult volunteers to provide a caring and supportive relationship by demonstrating warmth, compassion and friendship.  Through weekly contact, volunteers help parents establish trust in other people, accept themselves as a worthwhile individual, and work toward established goals.
