Substance Abuse
Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery Program
Individual, family and group services are tailored to specifically address the issues faced by youth who are striving to become drug-free. OMNI understands the importance of family relationships and the adolescent’s home environment. Because these issues play a significant role in helping an adolescent recover from substance abuse, family counseling groups are an integral part of the youth’s recovery program.
- Drug and Alcohol Evaluations: OMNI licensed professional staff offer a comprehensive substance abuse assessment and provide clinical diagnosis and individualized treatment planning for the youth and their family.
- Basic Outpatient Services (BOP): This program aims to increase responsibility, manage risk, and reduce harm through systematic treatment approaches to address adolescent substance abuse.
- Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP): This program is designed to provide an effective, comprehensive and systematic treatment approach to address high-risk adolescent substance use which has been unresponsive to less restrictive treatment. Professional staff work with youth six to nine hours per week to have the adolescents focus on changing their destructive patterns related to substance abuse. Treatment plans are developed based on the individual needs but will include a combination of individual therapy, family therapy and/or group counseling.
- Drug Testing Services: OMNI uses frequent and random alcohol and other drug screening tests. Urinalysis tests are conducted to assess a client’s current substance use, monitor progress and provide an objective method of accountability to reflect client progress to referral sources and/or parents.
- Seven Challenges is designed for adolescent (and young adult) substance abusing and substance dependent individuals to motivate decisions and commitments to change. Once such decisions and commitments are made, the program guides young people toward success in implementing the desired changes.
The Seven Challenges® Program is designed specifically for adolescents with drug problems, to motivate a decision and commitment to change – and to support success in implementing the desired changes. The Program simultaneously helps young people address their drug problems as well as their co-occurring life skill deficits, situational problems, and psychological problems.
The challenges provide a framework for helping youth think through their own decisions about their lives and their use of alcohol and other drugs. Counselors using The Seven Challenges Program teach youth to identify and work on the issues most relevant to them. In sessions, as youth discuss the issues that matter most, counselors seamlessly integrate the Challenges as part of the conversation.
- We decided to open up and talk honestly about ourselves and about alcohol and other drugs.
- We looked at what we liked about alcohol and other drugs, and why we were using them.
- We looked at our use of alcohol or other drugs to see if it has caused harm or could cause harm.
- We looked at our responsibility and the responsibility of others for our problems.
- We thought about where we seemed to be headed, where we wanted to go, and what we wanted to accomplish.
- We made thoughtful decisions about our lives and about our use of alcohol and other drugs.
- We followed through on our decisions about our lives and drug use. If we saw problems, we went back to earlier challenges and mastered them.

Fees for services vary from program to program. A sliding fee scale is available for those families who may have an inability to pay, which is based upon household income, number of dependents and relevant outstanding expenses. OMNI Youth Services understands that some families are not able to pay the full hourly rate, therefore a portion of the cost may be supported by various local, state, federal and private sources. A full breakdown of the resources can be viewed in our Annual Report.
