Masters Level Internship
We are now accepting applications for graduate level internships for the Fall of 2021-2022.
OMNI offers first and second year internships for students working on their master’s degree. Internships will begin in September and continue through May. Trainees will have the opportunity to facilitate 2-4 groups and provide 6-8 individual and family counseling per week throughout the training year. Our training program is 9 months and works with trainees that have 450-900 hour commitments of 2-3 days/evenings per week. Trainees will learn experiential approaches, cognitive-behavioral interventions, strength based competency skill building and gender-based programming. OMNI also offers the opportunity to participate in offsite programming including school groups and community outreach events throughout the year. Trainees are required to be onsite at OMNI in Wheeling every Thursday in order to attend mandatory staff meetings and group supervisions, other days are flexible. Evening hours and a valid driver’s license is required.
Applicants must be enrolled in graduate school at a regionally accredited institution of higher learning and be in good standing. Successful applicants will have a strong desire to work with adolescents and their families in a fast-paced team oriented approach that work with systems. Applications are typically received between December and February and select interviews are scheduled during this time period.
