We know that during times of uncertainty and fear there are also increases in anxiety, depression and substance abuse throughout our communities. With over 50 years of reliable service to young people and their families, OMNI will continue be here for those who need us. OMNI is committed to providing counseling and supportive services, especially in times of challenge. In response to recommendations for social distancing by the CDC and Illinois Department of Public Health, effective Wednesday, March 18th OMNI’s counseling services will be delivered remotely via phone or computer. Counselors will connect with all clients to help them through this new way of receiving services. OMNI staff are working remotely and will respond to emails and voicemail. Your patience is appreciated. If you are in crisis, please call 847-353-1500 ext. 0 or 911.
We continue to monitor recommendations from the CDC and our local health authorities daily and evaluate how to best maintain critical services while keeping the safety of our clients, staff and community our highest priority. Please follow our social media accounts for community resources and suggestions for ways to deal with the current situation. Together we will get through this.
Please call OMNI at 847-353-1500 ext. 1664 to make a telehealth appointment or for questions.

Public-private partnerships can transform communities and change lives. The partnership between The Allstate Foundation and OMNI Youth Services is an example of how two organizations can come together to deliver sustainable change. For nearly 30 years Allstate has supported OMNI’s mission of partnering with parents and the community to develop responsible youth and strengthen families.
“Allstate is committed to the safety and wellbeing of future generations and our support of OMNI helps to ensure that all youth have the opportunity to overcome challenges, walk down the aisle at graduation, learn valuable skills, stay safe and enjoy life’s greatest successes,”said Shayna Schulz, vice president at Allstate. “We partner with OMNI because they have a staff dedicated to getting superior results and helping change the life-trajectory of local teens.”
Over the years, support from corporations such as Allstate has been instrumental in filling unmet community needs in essential services,” said Jay Meyer, executive director of OMNI Youth Services. “In the face of challenging economic times, this funding enables us to provide high quality, life changing counseling and support services customized for each young person we serve. Together, OMNI and Allstate have positively affected more than 46,000 teen lives.”
Contributing to OMNI’s success with young people is its Journey Wilderness Therapy Program which enriches the counseling experience by actively involving the teen in action, treatment and reflection. Of those participating in OMNI experiential programing last year, 92% of teens achieved 80% of their treatment goals, an 85% improvement over state-wide averages for completion rates. Additionally, 79% decreased or ceased their substance use altogether, a 126% improvement over state-wide averages for decreasing/eliminating usage.
